    Mutante remix album

Worcester-based Dreamlord Recordings has released a collection of remixes by local artists of tracks from their excellent first Mutante album. Featuring remixes from from Galaxy Wolf in Space, Midwich Youth Club, Flam & Flange‘s Stu McGoo, Luke Bishop, Chewed Tape, Dom Keen, myself and an extra remix by Alec of Mutante, you can get a copy by download or on CD at bandcamp.

I’m also working on a video to accompany the remixes – follow VurFX on Facebook to stay abreast of developments!

    Ten Billion to Ten

A project that I am particularly proud of is Ten Billion to Ten, a sci-fi spoken-word synthy story album in collaboration with Worcester-based author Adam J Smith and narrator Ed Steelefox. Also featuring kind contributions from Craigus Barry (ebow) and Charlotte Jordan (vox).

The full version can be heard at the link above, or if (for some odd reason) you’d like to listen to it without Ed’s amazing voiceover then you can also grab the Ten Billion instrumental version.

We did the first (and as yet only planned) performance at Kidderminster Town Hall as part of the moon-landing themed Kidderminster Arts and Food Festival in 2019. A couple of photos can be found over on the Ten Billion to Ten Facebook page and if there’s any plans for new performances you can be sure you’ll hear it there first!

Loved working with Adam and Ed on this and hope to do something like this again!

P.S. Also still hoping that the mooted accompanying video may materialise one day! (And those with an extremely good memory may recognise that some of the visuals used in the live performance snuck into the Graf video)
